The network is down at work. Fun.
Besides that it is Thursday! I was hoping the week gods would skip Thursday and bring us into Friday but no...no such luck.
So Marc got an email about travel deals yesterday afternoon and he saw one for a cruise around New England and Canada (starting in Quebec city and stopping in New york). It sounded great! We would stop in places on the coast of Canada i have never seen and we get to stop in Boston!! The price was high though. I mean it was good but for us it wasn't that good. I am afraid of going on a cruise, i have a fear of open water and knowing my luck the damn boat would sink. Marc really wants to do a Caribbean cruise but i just can't bring myself to do it. The New England, Canada cruise was perfect though. I can get used to being on a boat but still be very close to home and the boat doesn't go that far out to sea.
When we started looking at all the little extras we realized it might not be worth it though. We would want to do the excursions..that would be one of the main reasons for going. We would also want some beer and wine but of course that costs extra. It was just all the little extra things that made me nervous to spend twice as much as we want to on our vacation. I really do not want to go broke you know.
I looked at other cruise lines and the prices were a little better on one site but the beds were two double that you can't even move! Umm sorry not going to happen. I really do not know where people get their AWESOME cruise prices that they tell me about, i still think they are expensive and for someone who is afraid of the water....a waste of money.
Alright enough of that.
What to eat while on Blood thinners: Marc can have very little to no vitamin K. That means he can not eat a lot of green veggies (that has been so hard on me :P). He also has to avoid liver-but we never eat that so it's not a lose.He is also limited to 1-2 drinks of alcohol a day and he can smoke very little..in fact it's better to not smoke (we like our hookah).
Besides that he just has to watch his diet. Eat well, eat smart and he will be alright.
Also he has to watch when he shaves, brushes his teeth...or does anything for that matter, not to cut himself. He bleeds more now because of the blood thinner. A little cut isn't to bad, we just put pressure on it and wait but I am terrified if he ever gets a large cut or any injury. He has yet to get his medical bracelet (informing medical staff he is on blood thinner) so if i'm not around and he can't speak it can get bad. It's one of the fears i still carry with me on a daily basis.
Traveling is still allowed he just has to get another blood test to adjust his dosage for the trip and he has to keep the medication on him at all times. And since we are traveling soon i am on his butt to get that medical bracelet.
Alright i rambled enough and Marc may of found a good deal for Vegas (which is where i would....do things....to go).
