New start?

I have been thinking about where to take this blog. Initially I planned on devoting it to Marcs DVT but it became repetitive as things balanced out, and that is a good thing! I don't want this blog to be too much of a journal but thing is I'm not great at cooking and I am still nervous about posting my outfits online. I guess maybe I could do both. I could document my horrible, sad and humorous attempts at cooking and baking (although I REALLY hate to bake, maybe Marc could do baking posts?!). I could also post OOTDs when I feel brave and feel like the outfit is something worth talking about.

I think writing about both experiences can give more substance to my blog. Give me something to WANT to write about and worth a read. So, yes, I think I will try this out. It will be slow going at first as I figure out what is worth writing about when I cook or dress myself, but maybe by the end of this year my blog will have more depth to it. That will be my goal.

As it is summer the cooking posts will be pretty low as I hate to turn the stove and oven on and I don't really know how to cook on the BBQ (except for steaks, potatoes, hot dogs.....easy summer meals). As the weather cools though, that is when I get a little more adventurous in the kitchen. I am willing to take the time and energy to cook and it heats up the place! So I can start with outfit posts, talking about my style, what I like/don't like.

I look forward to having more to write about and actually being excited. I know this blog is one in billions of blogs out there, I am not expecting this to be some kind of amazing thing. But, I want to enjoy my little part of the net.

  1. Sometimes it's hard to find a niche. There're so many sites that offer advice to bloggers, but most of it leaves "personal bloggers" out. That's what I consider mine, a personal blog, because I write about whatever I want/feel like writing that day. Good luck and I'd love to see some of your outfits!
