1. Shopping: I love to shop. I could spend hours and hours in malls and stores. Just driving around and shopping relaxes me. I can shop at clothes stores, furniture stores, decorative stores etc. Sadly my income does not match my shopping needs, but it makes it soooo much more fun when I get a chance to spend money without feeling bad :)
2. Red Wine: I love red wine. I like to have a glass after a rough day. It's my go to drink (at parties) because I know that I will not get sick. I can't drink many white wines though and that's sad, but I'm happy I still have my red wine!
3. Candles: I light candles just to light them. In the colder months I can have a dozen, if not more, lit around my apartment. When I get candles as gifts I get all giddy. I go for scented candles like vanilla, cranberry, pumpkin pie. I try not to buy really nice candles because I will light them and it would ruin the candle lol
4. Winter: I can not survive in hot weather. When it gets above 10 degrees my body starts flipping out. I need the cold. I embrace the cold. Winter brings cuddles on the couch without sweating, candles, hot chocolate, many home cooked meals in the oven, blankets, layers, boots! The list could go on. Oh winter, I love you. Put me in a snow storm and I am one happy happy woman.
5. River Monsters: Jeremy Wades voice puts me to sleep, in the good way. His voice relaxes me. Yes I am a freak, leave me alone. But when there are new episodes I crawl into bed and just watch, sometimes I make it through the whole hour but if I fall asleep I can just watch it the next day. Besides his voice I do actually like the show. I am afraid of water (I will shower :P) so seeing whats underneath the surface both fascinates and terrifies me.
6. Body/Hand Creams: I have a problem. I hoard body and hand creams. When civilization ends I will be a savior among people with dry skin. Bottles of the stuff pops up everywhere, I don't know how Marc survives. I go to a store and a lot of times I will come out with some new kind of cream to rub all over me. I really do not look at the price either, I just buy the damn things. The picture shows one of my favorites. I was given it as a gift by a mother of a child I took care of in day camp, it's Pina Colada in a bottle. I thought I lost it but this bottle was recently found by Marc, and I was soooo happy to have it back.
7. Fresh Cleaned Sheets: I love rolling around on freshly cleaned sheets, especially in the winter right after they come out of the dryer. It's heaven. Odd thing to love maybe, but I love the feeling on my skin and I sleep really good that one night.
I actually do feel a little better :). I also found out that I have an interview tomorrow AND Marc is making me his yummy pasta meal. I might blog about it if I can remember.
Thanks Pretty Pessimist for the great idea!
Any sign of my brown paper packages tied up with string?
ReplyDeleteThis is both a "My favorite things" reference, and refers to a package I'm waiting for!
I love to shop too, I just can't afford it. LOL. Great list!! I'm very much a white wine drinker, but I've met a few reds I love (shiraz, for example). Ooh, and clean sheets, yes please!
ReplyDeleteYour most welcome for the idea. :D Thanks for sharing the things you love! I hope it cheered you up some!
