Dear Torrid:
I like your clothes, I have a few pieces from you and they have fit wonderfully. I want to order more, hell i'd go across the border to get them but you don't even have shops close to the border (at least from Montreal...last I checked). Your shipping costs too much. I have ordered from other stores in the States and did not have to pay the insane amount of shipping you seem to think you need to charge. There are a lot of Canadians who would be placing bigger orders and more often if you bring your shipping down (and please do not go on about the border taxes and duty fees I have ordered things with those fees on and it still was twice as less as what you charge). I don't know why you wont even open a store somewhere in Canada, or at least TRY to. I want these boots so bad that I will pay the insane shipping fee but i'd much rather order a bunch of stuff at once from you than have to shop other stores online to get separate pieces because you cost too much!
Please bring down your shipping fees.
Boot loving customer
So yes I will order those boots and will pay the shipping fee. I have been thinking about these boots non stop for a long time so it will be worth it. If they sell out of my size though, before I can order, there will be an explosion of anger coming from my place. Check the news people.
Those boots are awesome! I wish I could wear boots, my calves are too big for boots. Bah! I'm sorry shipping is so expensive, that sucks. I'm going to do some shopping on Torrid soon. I have trouble buying clothes/shoes online because I'm always afraid they won't fit right. I can measure, but clothes I think will be awesome on me, often aren't. So, I shop locally for the most part, but there are a few websites I'd love to be able to shop at, and Torrid's one of them.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could just go out and go local shopping, I am still very nervous about online shopping. I just ordered a pair of skinny jeans from old navy (american site) and I'm so scared they wont fit. But I have to take the chance. Plus size shopping in Canada is a joke. Addition Elle and its other companies are over priced and the clothes do not last long. Also for a 24 year old the clothes tend to be old looking.
ReplyDeleteI see all the awesome plus size stores in the states and just drool. When I head down there (at some point in my life!) it's just going to be one big shopping spree!
I don't know if you have checked out http://www.eshakti.com/ but they have some awesome dresses (if you are a dress person), some nice skirts and tops. They go up to 26 but you can customize and it's so cheap.
Ooh, thanks for the link!! I haven't seen it before, but I'm going to check it out right now. Plus size shopping can be tough here, too. We have Lane Bryant, but they're soooooooooooo expensive. I don't know about you, but I don't want to pay $50 for one pair of jeans, or $30 for a cami. It's incredibly insane. I only shop there when someone else is footing the tab. Otherwise, I shop at a local place called Cato which has amazing deals, clothes that fit me, and as an added bonus, due to their weird sizing, I wear a size smaller in their clothes than I do everything else! I also like Fashion Bug, which is a Lane Bryant company, but has very reasonable prices. Unfortunately, there's not a Fashion Bug anywhere near here. But, you should check out their website, if you haven't already.
ReplyDeleteI get a little bit perturbed by places like ModCloth and the like. They say they have plus sizes, but they only go up to like a 22 or whatever. That's not terribly plus, if you ask me. Of course, I suppose I could also stand to lose a few pounds (or more than a few), but the reality is that I'd rather be comfortable no matter what size I am, in clothes that are age appropriate. :)
